The Strategic Initiatives Project Officer will support the implementation of multiple community development products and programs areas including, but not limited to: Economic Development, Real Estate, Cannabis, Planning and Small Business Initiatives. The Strategic Initiatives Project Officer will also contribute to research on new program development, policy best practices, performance measurement, and provide analytic support for EDA’s initiatives and community development.

Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Historic Preservation, provides support and assistance in daily operations of the department. Supports Director and Sr. Project Officer with overall program tasks including preparation and distribution of promotional and guidance materials associated with department’s programs. The successful candidate for this competitive opportunity will gain an in-depth insight into the legal compliance activities surrounding the facilitative role of State government in expanding financial sources through assignments and research.
This is a paid internship position intended for current graduate students enrolled in an accredited law school on a full or part time basis. The itern candidate has strong written and verbal communication as well as strong analytical skills and an interest in legal and regulatory compliance. The internship may be for the school year, summer, or both depending on the needs of the Authority and the availability of the candidate. The potential journey beyond this internship may include a post-graduation/pre-bar exam passageposition with the legal departments of the Authority.

Provides credit and administrative support to the Loan Servicing & Compliance Team.
The Analyst serves as an advisor on Sector Financing & Incentives products. In addition, an Analyst maintains a general working knowledge of other NJEDA Programs and Departments in order to support, promote, and manage NJEDA’s offerings effectively to manage external and internal relationships.
