The division focuses on these priority industries and also provides cross-industry support through workforce training, venture, manufacturing, and tax credits & incentives teams.    The Economic Transformation Intern will work alongside the Economic Transformation team to support a variety of initiatives and priority projects that advance the goals of the Authority. Specifically, the Intern – Economic Transformation will provide support to all of the departments reporting to the Chief Economic Transformation Officer, which includes Innovation Impact, Clean Energy & Workforce Innovation Partnerships, Manufacturing, Incentives & Tax Credits, Film, and Life Sciences. The role will assist with operational efficiencies, marketing,memo writing, event planning, policy research,scheduling support, and the creation of projects and initiatives designed to promote NJEDA’s programs and products.    This is a paid remote internship. Undergraduate students will receive $16.00-18.00 per hour and graduate students will receive $23.00 per hour.

NJEDA is supporting the launch of the Wind Institute for Innovation and Training (Wind Institute). The Wind Institute will be a new independent authority charged with advancing offshore wind workforce development, education, research, and innovation efforts that support the growth of New Jersey's offshore wind industry and the state's position as a regional offshore wind hub.   The Intern will work directly with the leadership of the Wind Institute to support and coordinate key initiatives that further the Wind Institute’s mission.     Interns can work 10-25 hours per week during the Fall/Spring semesters. Summer interns can work up to 35 hours per week for 8 weeks     Graduate students are qualified to apply and paid $23.00 per hour for this internship.

Job Summary   Under the general direction of the Manager, HR Operations, the Data Analyst will help support and maintain the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and other systems supported by the human resources team. Job Summary  Under the supervision of the Chief Economist and the Chief of Staff, the Economist will be responsible for leading Authority-wide and program specific research projects in order to support the achievement of EDA’s mission and business objectives.   Job Summary   The Finance Intern will support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in a variety of initiatives and priority projects that advance the goals of the NJEDA (the Authority). Specifically, the Intern will provide analytical support for various fiscal projects such as comparisons of actual results to projections, preparation of updated annual forecasts, and spending plans for projects funded by State and Federal appropriations. In addition, the Intern may assist in the preparation of Fiscal Summaries of new projects which document narrative descriptions and funding sources. This will require close coordination with both Fiscal and Programmatic staff across NJEDA.

Job Summary   The successful candidate will participate in the design, development, implementation, and administration of Clean Energy Programs. Additionally, the Analyst will interact directly with stakeholders to gather intelligence and build relationships in support of sustainable economic development policy. The applicant should have a first-hand insight of program management, business development, relationship management, government operations as well as corporate financial and investment knowledge. This person also maintains a general working knowledge of other NJEDA Programs and Departments in order to support, promote, and manage NJEDA’s offerings effectively to manage external and internal relationships.   This job’s responsibilities include but not limited to, the NJEDA’s NJCel, NJCool, CPACE, NJZip and other programs. This would include being responsible for relationship management, business process, application coordination, program development, and data entry.
