Job Summary
The role of the NJEDA’s Governance Department is to ensure Board Members and staff clearly understand roles and responsibilities as it relates to serving on an NJEDA or affiliated Board, to provide a clear framework of checks and balances for the preparation of board related action items, and to promote efficiencies and use of best practices by both board members and staff as it relates to any board, or any other cross-organizational projects supported by the Governance Team.
Under the supervision of the Director of Governance, the Governance Project Officer is responsible for implementing day-to-day tasks of the Authority’s Board Governance processes and workflow. The individual will work on enhancing and streamlining those processes and developing and updating Board Governance policies to create efficiency and ensure effective communication with and between the Board and staff involved in the Board Governance process, taking advantage of available technology.

Note: The NJEDA currently offers a hybrid work schedule for up to 2 days of telecommute work from home. To participate, you will be required to have high speed home internet access and a manager's approval. This program does not supersede the "New Jersey First Act", which requires newly hired NJEDA employees to establish and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey.
